Standing Strong with Kherson — Delivering Hope and Aid in Uncertain Times
Since June 2022, UAid Direct has delivered essential aid to Kherson, a frontline city under constant threat from enemy forces. We’ve completed 52 deliveries, including medical supplies for hospitals and maternity wards. Recently, we supported a safe space run by Father Ihor Makar, providing generators, UV lamps, and arts supplies. With your donations, we can continue helping Kherson’s most vulnerable.

Since June 2022, UAid Direct has been standing with the resilient people of Kherson, delivering crucial aid to both the city and the surrounding villages. As a frontline city, Kherson faces daily threats from enemy forces just kilometers away, and the fear of another occupation hangs heavy over its residents. But in the face of these dangers, the community’s strength shines through.

To date, we’ve made 52 deliveries, bringing vital supplies to the people who need them most. These deliveries have included essential medical supplies for hospitals and critical aid to a maternity ward, ensuring that even in the midst of war, newborns receive the care they deserve.

Recently, we had the opportunity to visit a safe space for children and women, run by Father Ihor Makar and his dedicated team. This center serves as a sanctuary where children can play and connect, and where women — many of whom have lost loved ones during the occupation — can find solace and support. For those who visit, this space provides a much-needed sense of comfort and normalcy amidst the turmoil.

Thanks to the generosity of our partners, PlebeianHelpers for Ukraine, Ton Moolenaar, and OperationChange, we were able to bring much-needed supplies to the center. We delivered generators to keep the space powered, UV lamps to ensure the children’s play areas remain clean, and arts and crafts supplies for the women’s group, which uses creativity as a healing outlet. We also brought sweets and treats for the children, offering them a small moment of joy in their challenging lives.

This safe space is a beacon of hope for Kherson’s most vulnerable, but we can’t do this without your help. With your donations, we can continue to provide supplies, support, and care to those in desperate need.
